Still do not believe that I had actually turned 21, but that is the fact! I am 21! Accept it!
So I had a birthday party at Chocolate Beans. I still wished that I could have had it in Malaysia, especially with the sevonders >.< Anyway, I still had fun because I had almost a week of celebration? hahaha! That was because some friends who could not make it for the party celebrated days later for me. Thank you! I appreciate the efforts!

So, that is my cake without candles but fireworks that we used to play during mooncake festival. Oh no! I just realised that I did not get blow any candle for this birthday! Eeee... December yea... sevonders! I want 21 candles! or what about cupcakes from cuppacakes? ;P but I still want candles on it! haha! Okay, back to the topic, guess what is the name of the cake? It is called "death by chocolate". Really really rich with chocolate.

I made everyone so SICK with chocolate after this party including myself. XD Everything we had was chocolate: different types of chocolate drinks, chocolate fountain plus the 'death by chocolate' cake, we really got killed by it! lol! I did not touch chocolates for weeks. eheh... something different tho...

A lil' bit more updates

I am lazy actually, so I will let the pictures do the talkings. But I will still talk abit la... ;)

So during march, we went for picnic by Torrens River. That was our first outing after the long summer break.
Next, we went to Adelaide's Convention Centre for high tea to celebrate Salina's birthday before headed to her house for mahjong session. Look at the cakes, they are super duper delicious! You will feel like you are flying in the sky after every bite! I will bring you all there if you all come to Adelaide. This is a must-go-place-in-adelaide recommended by me =P

During mid-semester break, we had a road trip to Fleurieu Peninsula. The views were great, beaches were breath taking and the most important thing was, I had great and fun friends that went with me! Sharon, Ehon, Claudia, thanks! It was a memorable trip!


We just love to pose... lol~~~ and yea, I did wall climbling! Not very difficult because I did the easiest one, haha! but my arms were a lil' sore after that. It was fun!

A lil' bit of updates

So many things happened in the past few months. Ups and downs, everything is there.
As I've said in previous entry, I was really busy working beside studying. I worked almost 18hrs every week for the first few weeks. Can die arr... and I hardly have time for my studies, this is bad, I know. Luckily workload from job decreased as time passed but uni tasks started to accumulate >.< Ethics assignment, law assignment, online exam, pathophysiology assignment, clinical placement and exam.

Anyway, everything is over now. Had my last paper this morning. Me and Sharon was late for the exam >.< First time in my whole life! No, we did not miss the bus, we were early instead. We planned to take 8:05am bus, reach flinders at 8:30am, then exam starts at 8:45am BUT... there were so many students from uniSA and AU were heading to showground to have their exam at 9am. Darn! The stupid little pathetic metrobus could not fit all of us. There were too many of us actually but why can't they just send a bigger bus? Although it is a Saturday, but they should know that it is exam period, students from uniSA and AU will be having exam at showground. So we had to wait for the next bus, which departed at 8:20am and reached south road at 8:55am. Not a direct bus into the uni but we had no choice. So we ran almost all the way to uni, put our belongings into the security room, get into the exam hall(people were looking at us >.<) and sat down. The time was 9:05am. 20 mins(including 15 mins reading time) late for exam. I could have done so much more with that 20 mins. So obviously I did not manage to finish the whole paper. It's still alright I guess. I am just glad that everything is over. NOW, it is time for me to clear up the exam mess. Tomorrow is going to be a looonngg day.

I just realised that I have not been updating about my life since I came back to Adelaide. Hmmm... not now. Better get prepared for tomorrow's clinical placement. Otherwise I will be dead if I cannot answer what my PA(Principal Academic) ask me. Everyone thinks that she is a psycho. So yea, better get back to my work now. tata!

Gosh... Semester 1 have not even started and I am starting to worry how tough it is going to be. Paranoid? I am not sure. I just looked through at the study plan for week 1 and it scares me. It actually consists of 21 pages(usually the longest was 3-4 pages)!!! And it is only week 1!!! The number of readings I have to do on this week gave me another heart attack. There are more than 10 readings! How am I going to finish everything before week 1? I do not even have the text! and... and... and... it is still CNY! Awww...

CNY is coming soon, in 2 days. Means another 9 days for me to stay, live, enjoy, sleep, eat, drink, sit and the list will go on and on... in my home sweet home. I cannot believe that I had already spent almost 2 months in Malaysia. It feels like so short! I am going to miss so many of you this time especially my sweet little evil sister, although you are taller than me but you are always the small little sister I will care for =). Leaving to Adelaide this time means I am not going to see you all in another year. That is looonnnggg... I wonder if things will be the same when I am back next time.

Cameron Highland

Went to Cameron Highland on 1st and 2nd of Jan with family and relatives. Did not visit many places since we have been there for many time. We had a great time though. Had "lap mei fan" before starting our steamboat feast. yum... Steamboat was even yummier =P We had it at the balcony of the apartment. Mom actually brought a bottle of "fa tiu zao" to be added into the two steamboat pots which was *two thumbs up* No pictures were taken during steamboat time because everyone was lazy and too busy eating >.<>

Down to the night market later on and cousin started with an ice-cream asking whether if there is any offer if we buy more. haha! we did not get a cheaper price but bigger scoops. We went on and on with other stalls. Got RM5 worth of fried sweet potato balls with RM4, and thought of getting 11 packets of popcorns with the price of 10 packets. lol! We were nuts! oh yea, if you are in cameron, never ever buy their whatever so-called homemade "bing tong wu lou". Not worth it and it is a total crap! 3 tiny strawberries dipping in honey 'water' and the strawberries are sour. Strawberries dipping in chocolate were not any better, just another ringgit extra.

And yes, I am back in Malaysia. I am still thinking whether I should work for this holiday. I thought of teaching temporary in Yuk Chai but the thing is I can only teach for one month plus until chinese new year. I wonder if they will take me.

catheter

I could not believe that I just removed a catheter from a male patient today >.< I told myself to focus and not to think about others. The RN told me to remove it quick but not that quick. So I pulled the tube according to what I thought is not-so-quick. I did not expect the tubing to be so long, and I kind of slow down when it reached a certain length. So the RN gave me a hand to pull 'a little bit' faster and the patient's reaction was... embarrassing I guess. I was quite shocked when the whole catheter was pulled out. Gosh! It was about 20cm long! Just imagine how would it feel when a 20cm long tube is inserted into your urethra. Pain~~~

Yea, just handed up my last assignment on Friday. Now, left with one more exam and it is holiday~~~ woot woot~~~ FYI, my paper is on the 13th of Nov. However, I will not be back until end of Dec, due to some reasons.

Happy Mooncake Festival

This is the first mooncake festival I am not celebrating with my family. I am so sad now... I've been celebrating this festival with my family for 19 years. From this year onwards, I will not be able to celebrate with them and I do not know when is the next time I can do that. I miss having dinner with my aunties, uncles and three of my little cousins. Well, not so little now but they are always little to me. They must be enjoying their dinner now, all the foods that are cook by my mom n aunties. 独在异乡为异客，每逢佳节倍思亲... I can really feel that now.

BUT, I lose weight again... yes. I need to gain weight in 8 days in order to wear the dress I've bought and mom bought. Argh... and my nails are cracking! crap! I've never had such a bad nails condition before. I am always proud that I have nice finger nails although my fingers doesn't. But for now they are cracking so badly that I just feel like chopping everything off!!! @$#%#*&

Hello peeps! Have not been blogging for a quite a long time. How is everyone?
Life has been great here. I am quite happy these days. Why? 1) I just got a part time job as a waitress in a Malaysian restaurant. Yeap, my first time working and I was so excited when I receive my pay. Not very high pay but it is good enough to make me happy. 2) I just submitted my first assignment on last Friday. I think I did O-K. 3) I went for a camp in Yorke Peninsula, it is a country side. A great place to relax and staying away from the city. I will talk more about it in my next post together with some pictures. Stay tune =P 4) Royal Adelaide Show has just begun on last Friday. It is like a fun fair with lots of rides(of course) and many other stuffs like animals? hehe. 5) And lastly, mid-semester break is just around the corner! Though I may not be traveling everywhere, but I can have more sleeps! And it also means that it is nearer to the date I am flying back for Ying's wedding!!!
Ok, that is all for this time, got to go for class now. =)

SBS's "Anatomy for beginners"

This show is so cool! I watched it yesterday night, finally. It has four series but I kept forgetting to watch it for the past three series which were talking about movement, circulation and digestion. It was a live public autopsy. Yeap! They used real dead bodies for this show. Yesterday's was the last and most interesting because it was on reproduction! muahahaha! =="' There were 24 real models, 2 dead 2 alive. 2 males and 2 females and they were all naked except for the dead bodies were covered by cloth. Before the presenter disected the "fresher" bodies, he showed the audience another dried body and he said:"look at this, I've cut this gentleman into half..." @_@ even the penis was cut into half. If you think this is gross, then you are not suitable to watch this show because is even more gross when he disected the "fresher" bodies especially for the male's. I think I am going to buy the dvd since I missed the first 3 parts. Anyone interested? =P

It is week 3 of semester 2. Got to start doing with assignment really soon which is going to due on week 6. Less than 3 weeks for 2000words. +_+ I know it is very little compared to hx's... but I just hate writing. Hopefully I can finish it on time. Hopefully I can get a distinction for it =P Did I asked for too much? Nevermind, credit will do. hehe... But the thing is I still have not made up my mind on which topic to do yet. Temperature? Blood pressure? Fluid balance chart? Manual handling? Use of restraints? or sub-cutaneous injection? >.<

Can't believe that I am here for >5 months already. Classes resume today, everything is back to normal again. Stress~~~ I've got homework even before classes started. Ish... I am still in holiday mood. Cannot concentrate on my homework now, how?
