cold~~~

Found out that there is no hot water supply this afternoon when I woke up. At first we thought that only our unit has this problem but later on we found out that is actually the whole UniHouse building does not have hot water. Jing told me that we will have it until monday because she saw one of the person incharge when she was on the way to the gym(and bathe). Then later on, when I was going to the library, the notice of not having hot water throughout the weekend was already up on the notice board in the lift. Ishh... how to survive with no hot water in kind of weather? Everyday is like 12c-20c and the water is super cold. But luckily we still have some friends staying around otherwise I think I'll just freeze to death when bathing. So thank you Siew Yan!!!

laziness

I am so lazy~~~

So what did I do when I am supposed to study? Lets see... Was "supposed" to go library most of the days after dinner but it closed at 8pm during the break. So no more night time study. The first few days, I did not want to study because I thought I should rest first since I have two weeks break. First day, went kbox followed by dinner with Jaclyn, Erika and Emily. Days later, "supposed" to study after dim sum with Jing's friend but end up we went for Ice Age 2 together.(It is FUNNY!!! I like the part when Sid was sleep talking, looks like Teng! wahahhaha!)By the time we finished the movie, it was already time for dinner >.< Then the next day, went to shop groceries and foods with Jing because I invited Siew Yan over for dinner. Other times were spent yakking with Jing, eating, sleeping(since it was raining whole day), online-ing...

Two weeks of mid-semester break is going to end soon. Five more days left and I'd only touched my books once. How???

so many things to do

It's only the first week of uni and there're already so many readings that I had to do them over this weekends and also my so-called two free days(Tuesday and Wednesday) next week which we had to clear them for clinical placement.

I hate waking up early in the morning and I have to catch the bus to uni. The worst thing is if you don't get a seat the second you get into the bus, that means you'll have to stand and keep swinging for the next 30 minutes. Same thing for coming back from uni and my books are so heavy, the anatomy and physiology book is about 4kg, it's the heaviest. And there are some more books like study plans and readings... *Ughh*

I'm still so scared of public speaking. I can feel my heart pumping so hard when I was waiting for my turn to speak >.< Hopefully it will get better after I do more presentations and also attending more of"communicating therapeutically" classes.

Looking at the contents of one of my topics - Fundamental of Science, I think that A-Levels Biology really helps me a lot. Degree in Nursing is not that easy as what most of the people think. It is much more difficult than those Diploma or Certificate in Nursing which you can do from private hospitals like Assunta, SJMC...etc... Nursing students actually have to buy nurses scissors(didn't know there's such thing until I read about it), digital thermometer and also stethoscope. Yeap, stethoscope. Cool eh? The digital thermometer and stethoscope, they are actually selling them in different colours and there is purple! I'm going get!!! haha!

classes started

It was my mistake saying that Flinders Uni has only 6 carparks. It actually has 20! But some of them can only hold about 50 cars. According to a pamphlet I got, it says that the uni(carparks) can hold >4,500 cars! So big huh...

I know I have to do clinical placement if I'm doing a nursing degree but I didn't know I have to do it even I'm in 1st year, 1st semester. Anyway, it will only starts from week 10 to week 12, which is around May/June. It has 2 shifts, 7:30am-3:00pm and 2:00pm-10:30pm. I still don't know which shift I'll get. Hopefully is the night shift because I don't want to wake up early in the morning, during winter some more. I don't want to fail because of my blurness in the morning.

无敌大海景啊!!!

20th Feb 2006
Oh my... I didn't know Flinders Uni is so huge! It has 3/4 bus stations in the uni itself(I'm taking bus to the uni), luckily public bus can enter the uni compound, otherwise... I'll be more TINY. The uni also has its own loop bus running around the uni compound. It has 6 car parks, each can roughly fits 200 cars. There's a lake on top of the hill, and you can see a nice, wide seaview from there.

can u see the horizon?

I was actually pointing at the sea but my thumb was missing >.<

And that's the lake.
YOu can always see wild ducks or goose or whatever it is around the lake... but erm... maybe not in this pic. They are too shy to take photos... =P

new life...

17th Feb 2006
Went into the boarding room around 9:30pm and was told that the flight was delayed and will depart at 10:25pm. So me and Jing got a place and sat down. Around 10:05pm, we were asked to go on board. 10:25pm, the plane still remained in the same position. 10:40pm, still haven't shown the sign of moving. 10:45pm, drinks were given out to all the passengers, mind you, the plane was still on the ground. Finally, around 11 something the plane started to move. So all in all, the flight was delayed for about one and a half hours. Jing said this is her first time having the flight delayed. This is the first time I'm flying to Adelaide with her. So she said, because of me that's why the flight was delayed. (=_=)"'

18th FEb 2006
Arrived at Adelaide International airport around 6:30am. When queing for custom, we chose the shortest queue but then only we realised our queue is the slowest. So made us queued for ages just to pass the custom. This time, Jing said it was because I was there again. (=_=)"'
After we collected our luggages, scanned and declared our stuff, we took a taxi back to the place where I'm staying now, Rundle Mall. We were so dead tired when we reached the room so we slept until 1 something and then headed to China Town for lunch and to get some groceries. On the way there, I realised how come Jing put on weight everytime comes back to Malaysia. The body size of peoples here are so big that makes Jing grouped under standard size. omg... I feel so tiny... >.<
Accordind to Jing, Rundle Mall is Some thing like Bukit Bintang in Malaysia. So during weekends, lots of the young people will gather here and of course to have fun! As the night falls, you can hear more and more people walking downstairs. And the girls here, most of them wore mini skirt and spaghetti stripes at about 6degree celcius at night, crazy people. Go clubbing doesn't mean you have to wear so little clothes. Really "want pretty don't want life"...

19th Feb 2006
Went China Town again to get groceries again. Basically the whole day was spent to unpack our stuff and also doing some cleanings.

my turn, ck...

Oh right, so if you read mizzck's blog, then you'll know what is this. If you don't, just click the link and read the instruction. So you still have to click it anyway, hehe...

I'm in Adelaide...

Yea, so I've arrived Adelaide safely this morning. I'll blog about the details later when I have time. Need to do unpack my stuffs. Till then!

apart

How far can an aeroplane travel in 15 minutes? It is 5:30pm now. I think Li Shawn just passed by Melaka by this time, maybe further down or maybe not yet. So sad that I couldn't send her off today. As we grow older, we are getting further apart. When we were in secondary school, we sat next to each other. During NS, I was posted to Pahang and she was posted to Terengganu. When it is time for college, both of us took the same course but she did in Sunway University College while I did in Taylors College. She stays in SS3, I stay in SS1 which are next to each other. Now that she is going to NZ and I'm going to OZ. Still next to each other but the distance is way longer now. NZ and OZ... N and O also next to each other huh? I'm gonna miss you, Shawn. Take good care of yourself k? *Hugs*

my cny

So as usual, went to visit relatives on the first day, second day, third day...
The first picture was taken in my house on the first day when most of my dad's brothers and sisters came to 'bai nin'.The other one was in the car, on the way to my granma's house and the rest were taken at Dong Zhen temple in Jenjarom, near Banting. Look like in some other countries huh? lol! I wish...

They are my cute lil' cousins. Taken when I was back in Ipoh.

Look at what I did during CNY. My masterpiece! muahahahah!!!
1&2---> my aunt's fingers and toes.
3,4&5---> my cousin and his fingers. Yea, HIS... He actually request for different pattern for each fingers. =="

1 day till CNY...

Yeah! So tomorrow is CNY!
Went Tmn Megah morning market with mom around 6am to get food for tonight's dinner. The sky was still so dark but yet all the stalls were already opened. Except an Indian lady who promised that she will come at six because my mom booked some jasmine flowers from her. Everyone looked so busy! Every stall had at least one extra helper than usual. Finished buying, it was almost 7am and the Indian lady was not here yet. So my mom decided to get those flowers from SS2 instead of waiting for her.

The shops were not opened yet, the sky was still a little dark but we hardly can find any parking in SS2. Just like when you go there in a normal afternoon. So many people in the market! We do not want squeeze with other people, so headed home after we got the jasmine flowers.

2 days till CNY...

Finally, I can feel that CNY is coming. Went 'hor weng kei' at SS2 for lunch with mom n Jing, their 'wan tan mee' really roxX! yummy! Later, went into a frozen seafood shop which is just right beside the restaurant. What I used to think is that the price in a 'shop' will definately more expensive than those in the market 'stall'. My mom said the price is pretty reasonable, but surprisingly my mom said the price is pretty reasonable. So while my mom was choosing fish, me n Jing tried to be funny when we saw this frozen food, 'fat tiu cheong'(in cantonese), the first dish for most of the wedding dinners. We were thinking what would it called in english

me: God jump wall? eh no... God jumping over the wall.
Jing: No... fat is Buddha.
me: oh ya, so it's Buddha jumping over the wall.

Then we realised there's a row of english words under the chinese words, but it was covered by layer of ice(or whatever you call it). After I scratched of the ice, haha! Guess what we saw? it was "Buddha over wall"! ==''' They really direct translated it...

There were lots of people in SS2. Everyone's doing their last minute spring shopping. Especially those 'yuk gon' shops. The queue were so long, a shopkeeper of a fruit stall infront of savemart told us that the queue were this long since yesterday until 10pm at night! Look at these pictures I took.

a lost soul

I know it is not the end of the world and I know crying does not help either. But I just cannot accept it. Not at the moment. I need some time to calm down but I know I do not have much time.

This is the biggest failure in my life. It is so bad. What have I been doing for so long? I am so disappointed at myself, I am so useless. I have even let peoples who loves me down. I am so so so sorry. Almost everything is done and suddenly, just one more... Why?

I do not know which way I should go from this point. It is a really tough decision. A decision which will change the rest of my life. I am lost, I am lost in a maze looking for a way out. This way, no? Or that way?

Sometimes I ask myself, do I really want that? Is that really what I want? Or that is just because someone else wants it that way? Answer? I do not know...

selling books

Today went back Taylors to sell off all my A-Levels books. I was lucky because my books went off pretty fast. All were sold in 2 hours, except for a Biology past year book. Some of them were there since 7 something in the morning, and they still left with a few books when we "close shop" at 2 something. The price of my books were not very low tho, they were even higher than some of the others. I guess it's the quality of my books.

I realise I tend to be late for "outings" with my friends recently. I used to be one of the ealiest, I wonder why .Like today, I was supposed to reach college around 11:30am. But ended up I reached at 12pm >.<

Happy New Year!

There goes year 2005, everything seems just happened yesterday. Time do flies huh... In less than 1 month time, we'll be celebrating chinese new year. Less than 20 days, A-levels result will be out. There are so many things that I still haven't done. I still haven't meet up with my primary schoolmates yet. I still haven't bring my mp3 to fix, I haven't watch "perhaps love", I haven't buy any new year clothes, I haven't buy shoes, coin bag, specs...etc... Ahh~~~ so many things to be done and yet, there's so little time. This is also why I gave up on looking for a part time job which I actually planned to get one early of holidays. Oh well, nevermind, I can work anytime I want after I graduated. Anyway, Happy 2006 to everyone! Have a great year ahead!

24th nov 2005

Happy belated 19th birthday to Li Shawn!

6:30pm --- CAL Graduation Ball @ Holiday Villa, Subang.

As usual, the performances of this prom were boring. Live band from don't know where, hip-hop dance from college dance club and a few songs by Sharifah xxx from Malaysian Idol2. I guess the most highlighted event for that night was the crowning of prom king, well at least it was for our class because our dear classmate, Ganesha was nominated for prom king. So we had to cheer as loud as we can for him to beat the other nominees. We had to cheer for second round because the cheer for him and another guy who actually dares to wear a black suit with white short pants were merely the same. At the end, Ganesha won! Luckily, we cheered until most of us had sore throat, even my mentor also clapped her hands until it's red.

For prom queen, out of four nominees, two of them were korean and my support goes to jin seon, the prom queen. I believe that most of my classmates support her too. She looks gorgeous with her gown that night. However, we had no more energy to cheer for her. We just sat down to observe the supporters and I saw two female lecturers were screaming just like a student.

Here are some pictures,

im not

being paranoid... No! I'm not! But seriously, I'm really worry about my exam. I know I shouldn't be blogging now. I should be studying in the library instead of blogging. But I can't seem to concentrate studying lately. This is the disadvantage of the exam for dragging so long. I lost my study mood and I really really really need it back, otherwise how am I going to get good result to enter the Uni that I want?

I really hope they'll send me another offer letter, an unconditonal offer.A conditional offer will just make me even more nervous about my exam, I feel more pressure. What take them so long? or is it my A2 forecast is not good enough?

"Stephen, I know you won't be reading this but I still want to thank you for getting my A2 forecast from the college!"

Talking about forecast, surprisingly my Bio and Maths teacher gave me a quite good forecast. Especially maths, I was so shock when I saw it in IDP. For Bio, the grade is just a lil' bit higher than what I'm expecting in real A2 result(maths' was way higher). They do motivate me to work harder. Thank you Ms Ko! Thank you Mrs Sukhdev!
